This course is divided into two parts, A and B, for convenience when it is taught over the Spring / Summer blocks. It is conceivable that some of you, through previous experience, can test out of one half of the course or the other, but the great majority of you will need both portions of the course. If you are an exception, please talk to me as soon as possible - and get any arrangements that we make in writing. I know the limitations of my memory.

Also, if you discover that for some reason you need to withdraw from the course, since it is scheduled as 2 blocks the withdrawl deadline for IT 210A comes much earlier than it does for regular, semester-long courses.

Take particular note of the "other requirements" section of the syllabus, where a requirement for a notebook computer or a portable hard drive is detailed.
